Official Pilgrim Passport (Credencial del Peregrino)
The Pilgrim Passport, also called the Credencial del Peregrino, is your official stamp booklet for the Camino de Santiago. Only with stamped proof of your journey will you receive the Compostela, the official pilgrim certificate, in Santiago de Compostela. It also grants you access to recognized pilgrim hostels along the way.
This is the official passport issued in Santiago, accepted on all Camino routes—including those in Germany and other European countries.
What’s inside:
- 12 pages with 6 stamp boxes per page
- 1 box pre-stamped = 71 empty fields
- Enough for 33+ days with 2 stamps per day (recommended)
- Blank when delivered, so you can add your name yourself
2025 Version – includes the latest official design
We recommend two passports for the full Camino Francés (from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago), especially if your journey may be longer.
To keep your passport safe from rain and wear, we recommend adding one of our protective sleeves.
Important Note
If you’re unable to afford the passport but feel a deep calling to walk the Camino, please reach out. We’d rather gift one than see someone miss the journey for financial reasons.
